Merzouga is a small village in the south-east of Morocco, 35 kilometers from Rissani, 45 kilometers from Erfoud, and 20 kilometers from the Algerian border.
The dunes of Merzouga run along the Erg Chebbi, one of the most important dunes of the desert in Morocco.
The Dunes of Merzouga, a marvel of nature, is one of the tourist attractions of the province, the visitor remains dazzled by these high eternal dunes and especially at sunrise and sunset, which remains a unique and enchanting view world.
Moreover, the sand of Merzouga is famous for its therapeutic properties against certain rheumatic diseases. The months of July and August know, indeed, a passion of the national and foreign visitors for the baths of sands which for very beneficial cures.
Along the Erg Chebbi are small hostels that welcome visitors of all nationalities. Excursions of one day or more are organized around this site.
